Punch "Coquito"


Nutsedge is a typical Caribbean punch and geographical reasons unlike other Mexican strikeouts taken cold.

This recipe makes five servings.

Ingredients


  • 1 cup water
  • 12 cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 piece fresh ginger 1 inch, peeled
  • 1 can cream of coconut
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup of rum Captain Morgan
  • 1 cinnamon powder (optional)


Preparation

  • Boil the cloves, cinnamon and ginger in the water over medium heat 3 to 5 minutes. 
  • Let cool for 15 minutes covered. 
  • Strain the water and add the coconut cream, evaporated milk, rum. 
  • Blend for 30 seconds or until well incorporated. 
  • Refrigerate in a glass jar or bottle for 2 hours or until chilled. 
  • Serve in cocktail glasses or martini glasses. 
  • if desired Sprinkle with cinnamon.
